The bedroom of my childhood was littered with boxes upon boxes of sketchbooks filled with drawings of all sorts of subjects: people, animals, fashion designs, you name it. My imagination could not be tamed. It begged for me to let it loose and claw its way onto the pages of my sketchbooks. It was like I had no control over this compulsion to create. I needed to release my creative urges in order to be at peace with myself. This incessant need to be creative is what pushed me to take the classes necessary to demonstrate the respect and seriousness I have towards my craft. Throughout my years in high school, I enrolled in classes such as Honors Exploratory Art, Advanced Drawing and Painting, and AP Art and Design to further develop my artistic skills. I intend to study visual arts in college and hopefully use my creative talents in my future occupation.
